Roiano, a hamlet of Campli, is located on the slopes of the Campli Mountain. In a small square, the Church of Santa Maria, a nineteenth-century parish church built to replace the medieval Church of Santa Maria ad Venales, in the locality of Le Venali, has a gabled roof with a tympanum on the façade and brick tapers.
Even the simple portal and the round window overlooking it are framed in brick. The interior has a single nave with no apse; the presbytery area, raised by two steps, is separated from the rest of the hall by a balustrade. On the wall behind the altar there is a statue of the Madonna in a niche.
Along the side walls, canvases depicting the Deposition of Christ from the Cross and the Madonna of Pompeii. It houses a painted polychrome clay statue of the Madonna seated on the throne, originally with a Child on her knees, coming from the oldest church and a work of the Nocellese school.
