The Parish Church of S. Andrea Apostolo, located in the Campleses hamlet of Floriano, is located on the top of a hill in a dominant position in the town. The news of the oldest building located outside the town dates back to 7 February 1215, when the monks of the Benedictine abbey of S. Maria of Monte Santo, territory of Civitella del Tronto, they decided to erect the parish of S. Andrea in their nameless chapel.
The patronage would be entrusted to the inhabitants of the town. In 1324 the church paid annually the apostolic tithe of 6 tarì to the diocese of Teramo. In 1588 it became part of the new diocese of Montalto Marche (AP) erected by Sixtus V, then passing to that of Campli was established in 1600.
From 1686 to 1723 the Confraternity of the Rosary officiated there. Historian Nicola Palma informs that at the beginning of the nineteenth century it was transformed into a farmhouse. Of the original structure, only a few large unworked stones and remains of walls remain.
The current church has a modest brick gabled façade and is embellished with a wooden canopy and an oculus. It is dominated by a small bell gable with a bell, next to another crowned by a spire, also with a bell. The interior, with a single nave, houses an ancient baptismal font.
