The ancient Monastery of S. Onofrio in Cesenànum (or S. Eunofrio di Cesenàno "de Camplo") was located in the territory of the Camplese hamlet of Cesenà, in the district of Sant’Onofrio Vecchio and belonged to the Celestines. Originally directed by the Augustinians.
Only a few ruins remain. With the privilege of August 9, 1331, some tithes were granted to the prior for the services rendered to the Church of Teramo. The Celestines, having taken possession of the ancient monastery on 25 November 1620, founded a hospital for assistance to the sick poor and pilgrims, between the lower district of Campli and that of Castelnuovo. In 1489 Pope Innocent VIII united the priory of Cesenàno with the abbey of S. Onofrio of Campli. It was suppressed on February 13, 1807.
