The hamlet of Morge has a nineteenth-century and modern aspect. The historian Nicola Palma states that the town's toponym derives from “morge”, in the Abruzzese dialect “blocks of stone”, located in prominent and steep places.
The village is in fact located on a steep tufa rock. Noteworthy is the Sanctuary of the SS. Trinità, in the homonymous district. The Parish Church is dedicated to S. Martino Vescovo.
