Guazzano
The Camplese hamlet of Guazzano looks nineteenth-century and modern. The Parish Church of S. Maria, which already existed in 1530, shows the appearance due to the renovation of the nineteenth century.
The toponym appears in medieval documents as "Caniano", then "Cazano". It is a Roman predial (rustic background), perhaps deriving from the Latin name "Canius", "Cantius".
